LUTHERAN YOUNG ADULTS LEAGUE – Invites all young adults, ages 21-35, to their next event. This is a league for Lutheran young adults in the South Wisconsin District to connect and build friendships with one another. There are monthly events along with a chance to worship together throughout the year at a variety of churches in the South Wisconsin District. Join LYAL at their March event on Saturday, March 21st at 3 pm for a round of indoor mini golf at Big Putts in Waukesha and drinks & food afterwards at Raised Grain Brewery. FOOD DRIVE RESULTS – Thank you to everyone who donated to our February Food Drive! Our friendly competition between church and school families resulted in a total of 682 pounds of food being donated to the Waukesha Food Pantry!
LWML ZONE 3 SPRING RALLY – Saturday, April 25 – 9:00 am at Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in New Berlin – Bennett Reisler, Mission Advocate will be the speaker and there will be an ingathering of specific infant and toddler items for A Place of Refuge. CTL CHURCH DIRECTORY PHOTOS – A photo directory helps our church community learn names, recognize faces, and stay connected. Unfortunately, our directory is missing photos for quite a few of our families and many of the photos that we do have are quite a few years old! Over the next few weeks, we’d like to get our church directory pictures updated. Julie Bushre is going to be photographing families after church for the next few weeks (and during Palm Sunday brunch) so please look for her… and don’t be surprised if she comes looking for you! If you have a recent family photo you’d like to submit to be used in the directory instead of taking a new one, please send that to office@christthelife.com. Additionally, the most current contact information we have for your family is posted on the bulletin board just outside the church office. Please take a moment to review this and mark any changes. Thank you for your help getting our church directory current!
PALM SUNDAY POTLUCK BRUNCH – Join us on Palm Sunday, March 29, after worship for a potluck. Please sign up on the large bulletin board and let us know how many people to expect and what type of dish you’ll bring.
GAME DAY – Saturday, March 28, 1:00-4:00 pm – Join us for an afternoon of games, learning, and fellowship for ages 10 and up! See the bulletin board for more information and to sign up. Game Day is held the last Saturday of each month.
BREAKFAST CLUB (SPECIAL TIME!) –Join us at Denny’s on the corner of Grandview & Silvernail on Wednesday, March 18 at 8:30 am. Breakfast Club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
EASTER ALTAR FLOWERS – A selection of potted flowers may be ordered through CTL. They will be placed at the altar for Easter Sunday and can be taken home after the Easter service. (Based on availability and quality, a substitute of similar size and price may be necessary.) If you do not want to take a plant home but would still like to contribute monetarily to flowers, any amount is welcome and will be used for flowers that will remain on the altar through the Easter season. Order forms are available near the bulletin board or use the back of your bulletin.
ATTENDANCE – Please don’t forget to fill out the church attendance slip each week! If a visitor is sitting close by, be sure to pass the book to them too. At the end of the service, please remove the completed slip and drop it in the basket on your way out.
